Join us for the second in the series of empowering monthly workshops, "A Journey of Self-Discovery Through Art," designed exclusively for women seeking to explore their creativity while embarking on a transformative quest of self-discovery. Each session will provide a safe and nurturing space for participants to express themselves and connect with a community of women.
Inviting women of all backgrounds and artistic levels to explore, through the lens of creativity and self-expression, the complex relationship we have with our bodies.
In this session, we will delve into the profound theme of female body image by engaging in the artistic process of ceramic sculpting an abstract torso. As we focus our energy into shaping and forming these unique sculptures, we will create a safe and supportive environment to reflect on the cultural, familial, and personal influences that shape our perceptions of beauty and self-worth.
This workshop will begin with an insightful discussion on body image and the societal narratives that inform how we see ourselves. Participants will then engage in hands-on sculpting, guided to help you explore the creative process as a form of healing and empowerment.
Through this journey, we will challenge the traditional standards of beauty, allowing each sculptural piece to symbolize our individuality and the diverse experiences of womanhood. As you sculpt, you’ll have the opportunity to express your feelings, share stories, journal, and connect with fellow participants, in a safe environment, fostering a sense of community and solidarity.
